Walker Valley cemetery is very close to the parking area, so close you can almost see it. There is probably a way to get to the cemetery without hiking on the trial. The side trail we took to the cemetery is not accessible with the trail closed. Good luck, and enjoy your visit to the Smokies.Gene and Judihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18174560734474569999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7250173008611568687.post-47762954086824357192012-08-18T12:22:47.350-05:002012-08-18T12:22:47.350-05:00Thanks for taking us along on another great hike. ...Thanks for taking us along on another great hike. It is one of my absolute favorite trails for all the reasons you mention. Love doing it in the winter and you can almost always get to it! I think a dislike of Bote Mountain Trail is pretty much universal among those who regularly hike in the Smokies!!Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09408463925646609263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7250173008611568687.post-16329624688215640942012-08-17T20:09:57.154-05:002012-08-17T20:09:57.154-05:00Looks like a wide variety in your two hikes.
